Glad Nolly's getting another start. I thought he did well when he filled in for DJ earlier in the season.

I'm just glad they keep making signings and trades so that eventually we won't have the depth of an expansion team.

Maybe he'll become our Chris Albright or our Ezra Hendrickson? Don't be hating on my Ezra. He has 2 MLS Cups, a Lamar Cup and a CONCACAF Club Cup.

And Ezra's a good guy too by all accounts.

Of course, he also played on one of the worst teams in MLS history. And I mean BEFORE cheetos.

AH! Why isn't DJ starting!!! AH!!! I leave for four days and I miss EVERYTHING!!! Will someone please explain if it's just cause Ellinger thought it would be better, or is he hurt or something???

It's typical for MLS teams to play their second string keeper in Open Cup games. It gives the starter a break and keeps the backup sharper.

Matt Reis used to play most of the Galaxy's Open Cup games to give Hartman a break.

Its alright Jay Nolly deserved to get a start in the open cup. Didn't do well though, him and DJ have been pounded this year in the goal.
