I do have hats that I will be selling at the tailgate on Saturday. I have do-rags, bandanas, bucket hats, visors, and tophats, all stars and stripes themed. Depending on which style you want they will be $5 to $10 and the Loyalists will be recieving a portion of the proceeds. No need to paint your dome, no worries about it running into your eyes. Problem solved!
Excellent!!!

It's official, this weekends double-header is officially "on-the-brain". I dreamed about it last night!

Man! I can't freakin' wait!!!!!

Reading that Sam's Army article in the Tribune, and the call to us to help "drown out any Costa Rican support", really got my blood pumping! We've got to help make RES ROCK for the US game as well!! Even if we are the Real supporters group!

Loyalists Unite! <-- Going to be my new sig

Bruce is relying on us

Costa Rica's La Nacion, registration required, said that The Bruce said that SLC was chosen because the fans would make the USMNT feel at home.

The game was great, and Utah did itself proud. Here's some quotes:

Bruce Arena on playing in Salt Lake City:

"It was fantastic. I've never been in a more comfortable setting as the manager of the U.S. team. The whole week, Provo was brilliant, the people were great, everything was great there. Then, even today, I went to get a haircut and walking down the street, people were coming out of stores and saying, 'Hello,? wishing us good luck. It was fantastic. Beautiful setting, the field ended up being in good shape, I think the crowd was fantastic and I'm happy that our guys were able to respond. When things were tough, the crowd helped us. It was a perfect setting to play an important game in. I don't speak for U.S. Soccer, I speak for myself, but I'd love to come back here some day."

Landon Donovan on playing in Salt Lake City:

"On behalf of all of us, I'd like to say, 'Thank you.' The crowd was tremendous. They were passionate, they were loud, they knew what was going on in the game and I really hope we can come back here. It was incredible."

Landon Donovan on whether the crowd surprised him:

"I was saying yesterday, or Thursday, that they are very knowledgeable here. Even outside our hotel walking to the game today, there were probably 50 to 100 people clapping for us outside the elevators. They were just excited. As a soccer player, that's where you want to play. You don't want to play in front of 40,000 Costa Ricans. You want people there cheering for you. Everyone who came out today did a great job. They did their part today."

Congratulations, Utah, you're now in the National Team rotation. Do you think Arena might actually have a say in where the Nats play?

Salt Lake City is the new Soccer Town, USA.

Wow. That's great! Maybe we'll get some more of these.

Yup it was a great game. I watched it here in Florida with a bunch of my soccer buddies and their kids. They were all impressed by the large friendly home crowd for this home game.
One minor note: I wish Pope could have played both games and why didn't Keller sign with RSL!!! :D Just kidding DJ.
