I think that we also need to take into account that we all may be bringing people that aren't Loyalists with us to the game, especially for the first game and other big games. So, we need to figure out what we want to charge people that come with Loyalists but aren't Loyalists.
And we may want to think about how we will handle it when the visiting supporter group shows up and wants to party with us too.

I'll talk with Loyal1 and dysko about possible funding for the tailgates and will report back.

I've never been to an MLS tailgate party that wasn't a Potluck, so that would be an interesting experience......
Here's a wacky idea: The Loyalists could foot the bill for some propane, but you have to bring your own food. If you are a Loyalist from Idaho, Montana, Nevada or Wyoming, PM me before you leave and I might want to pay you for Vital Pregame Supplies...... Maybe I'm off-base on this, but to me; an even more pressing issue is where to hold a tailgate party. Will we be able to get into the parking lot west of the stadium? Or will that be taken up with VIP's, TV trucks, etc? That little grass area right on 5th South was area was dandy for 10-person Blitzz tailgate parties. But do we want to move into a different lot so we have room for pregame Cascaritas/Kickarounds, Sugar-High 3-year-olds, etc?

I believe they gave us a spot for our tailgates, right? And about paying for stuff: I thought that was why we will be displaying a giant CarSmart banner: in exchange they are paying for our tailgates. No?
If we have to pay for everything, I'd rather keep it veeeery cheap. I'm a student and the season tickets already broke my bank, and I know there are others in the same situation. __________________

You had a bank to break to buy tickets? Wow, I robbed one to get mine 😉 We will have some parking space in the main lot for tailgates, also we will be staking out and area by the grassy area. Wednesday myself and Loyal1 will be meeting w/ some FO people to workout some details... of course Jason is invited if he can make make it mid day. Look for more details in the near future...

I have never tailgated at anything before so I'm looking forward to this experience. This is our first ever home game and we need to make this special. A lot of people, including me are coming from way out of town to support the team. I don't think we need to worry about setting a precedent that we will have to try to keep up for other home games because everyone should realize this is a one time deal.
I would be happy to put in some money to buy groceries and work the grill if I need to. The less different kinds of food we have to make, the better. I am happy with burgers and beans and people could bring desserts and what they want to drink. The idea is to keep it simple. I understand that the dues I paid are long spent and the idea of hitting up our sponsors is the way to go. If we have fifty people and they all give $5, that's $250!! I can make that go a long way at Sam's Club.

If you volunteer to do a keg stand, you might lure Elvis' Ghost over here to the tailgate! :D

At Blitzz tailgate parties, Forest Fan & Paul from Idaho would bring bottled Vital Pregame Supplies from Boise or England.
Bottled Vital Pregame Supplies are a bit more discreet than a keg of Vital Pregame Supplies.
