Why doesn't realsaltlake.com link to theloyalists.com? The other day at the team's practice, the few of us loyalists that were there were chatting with others (non-Loyalists) and sharing ideas about the upcoming home matches. They were impressed at how organized we were and all the ideas we had to create a great atmosphere at the matches. They asked repeatedly how to find out more about The Loyalists. We directed them to theloyalists.com and realsaltlake.org.
But, our conversations caused us to wonder why realsaltlake.com doesn't link to theloyalists.com. There is a link for fans, but all it does is take the individual's contact information for Real's own purposes. As we talked about this, we were sure that The Loyalists membership could be much greater if, upon clicking on 'fans' on realsaltlake.com, they were taken to The Loyalists, where they could decide whether they wanted to join. Upon reviewing all the other MLS teams websites, I realized that almost all other MLS teams have their supporters club's link on their website. The cRapids site actually takes the visitor to Bigsoccer.com. The Galaxy's website actually has a link to the supporters club. The Fire's site does the same. So does the Crew's, DC United's, the Metrostars', and the Revolution's. If all of these other teams are linking to their supporter's sites, why couldn't realsaltlake.com link to realsaltlake.org/forums or theloyalists.com? What's up Real? Where's the love? Where aren't they making it easy for people to find us (and boost our membership)? I know we all love our front office, but is it possible that they could be more helpful in directing more people to theloyalists.com? Could it even be possible that, unknowingly or knowingly, as the case may be, the FO pays The Loyalists lip service without doing the one thing that could boost our membership exponentially? Perhaps it is just an oversight on the FO's part. Whatever the case, could one of the leadership bring this to their attention and see what the response is? After our conversations with others at the team's practice, we concluded that a link from realsaltlake.com would greatly help our (and Real's) cause. I believe MLS has been running realsaltlake.com, not RSL FO, if I remember correctly. If that is the case then it's just a case of MLS either not knowing about us (being in NYC) or just not thinking of it.
Either way I don't think anyone is out to sabotage The Loyalists, it just so happens that they haven't yet put a link to our site on thiers. __________________

But Czar, conspiracy theories are so much more fun!
I am sure Real has access to their own site so that they can post stories, etc. Whatever the case, let's get up to speed and get a link so that we can get more traffic flowing to theloyalists.com...

Actually the RSL newsletter point to theloyalists.com and the FO just emailed me to tell me they were going to make sure the RSL.com site does too.
Your timing is uncanny. 🙂
