Mathis will be on Channel 2's Sunday night sports show at their downtown studios tomorrow night at 10:30.

I'm thinking of going down there since I get off work at 9:30. If you've never seen Channel 2's studio downtown its right at the Gallivan Plaza Trax stop.

I didn't get to see it. How'd Cleetus do?

I tuned in a little late, but it wasn't Mathis (unless he was there before I tuned in), it was Kreis. It was a really general interview from what I can remember; just stuff like "how is it goin'?" but he did fine.

The only specific part I remember was at the end when they gave him a gift certificate to a steakhouse or something. He seemed really surprised, he was like "oh! ooh. uh, thanks!" It was funny.

I saw part of it (during the commercials on Supervolcano, heh), and Jason actually answered some good questions early on.

When I flipped over, they were talking about how the team was still building cohesion, especially on the attack, and how Jason thought that was going to keep improving. He also said that the USMNT would qualify easily.

Oh, and they gave him a gift certificate to the Skybox... which I thought was funny since someone mentioned the RSL FO not being super-stoked about the Skybox lately.

I thought Jason did an outstanding job. The person interviewing him admitted to checking international scores on the internet and not letting anyone know about it(aka closet soccer fan?) I think it was David James.

Anyway I think David James enjoys the game, but of course can not admit it and he is more of an international fan. He also seemed pretty knowledgable about the game when he was interviewing the coach this morning on 1280.

Also Brian Kamler was on KSL sportsbeat with Tom. He seemed a little nervous, but did a good job also.
