FYI: Season ticket holders can now buy WCQ tickets through their RSL ticket rep.

Current thinking in the FO is that they'll be sold out by mid-next week.

Does anyone know if there is a limit on the number of tickets we can order? I just ordered 5 but I may need to order more and I forgot to ask when I was on the phone.

Bought My Wcq Tickets Today

I bought my tickets for the Costa Rica Game today. They are having a special pre-sale for those members of ussoccerfan.com. You just need to register for free. I got an email about it yesterday and bought my tickets!

I just bought 4 tix for the WCQ. Section N22, row 19, seats 10-13, with fees $28.70 each. Because of the doubleheader, it turns out to be the same cost per game that normal RSL would be.

Seating question

Hey, I'm about to buy some tickets for 6 or 7 people for the WCQ, and I was wondering your opinion on this, especially from those who have experience being at RES:

We are either going to get the $25 "end-zone" tickets, or the $37 "corner" tickets. We figured we'd splurge and get the corner, and figured that since they're more expensive, they must be better, right? Well is that true? Looking at the map it appears that if you're in the corner seats, not only does it seem like you're further away from the field (since you're moving away from it diagonally instead of just horizontally, if you're looking at the map), but it also seems like the vantage point might suck. It looks like you'd be staring right at the side of the goal. Whereas if you're in the end-zone, you would be able to easily tell, for example, whether a shot actually went into the net or just hit the side or whatever.

So tell me, loyalists...is it worth the upgrade to the $37 tickets? I guess I'll know on Saturday, since I'll be sitting in one of the corner sections, but I'd like to know before then.

Much love and rep to all those who respond.

Sam's Army tickets go on sale next week. corner is not a better ticket. SA is where to be!

The south end (where SA will be) does have the advantage that they are raised above the goal, thus reducing the visual imparement the goal usually causes. Plus, they'll be right above the locker rooms...

But the field will cover almost the entire width of the stadium, with big gaps at the ends. Corners and side lines are closer to the action. The field will be 70 by 116 (or was is 118) for the game.

Bordy, we did some extensive scouting before picking out our RSL season tickets, and the corner flag is WAY better than the "end zone" seats. It's actually a pretty cool angle from which to see the match.
