what is the league like? 11 on 11? Games are all in SLC? Weekly (hopefully on Saturdays? Registration costs? Carsmart is going to sponsor us? 🙂

I may be interested, but I've never played, so I don't know how much help I would be. I would be interested in learning to play keeper if know one else is a keeper.

Yes, it's FIFA rules except they don't limit subs. 45 minutes halves. All games are in Salt Lake area. Many of the games are actually played in South Jordan. Games are usually on Saturday and Utah Soccer seems to be working their schedule around the ReAL afternoon ESPN2 games.

As far as registration costs... My younger brother plays in division 1 and he said the fees are around $80 a season per player, depending on how many players are on your team. A season is an entire calendar year and includes fall and spring games. However, you can sign up for just a half-season, if desired.

Matching numbered jerseys are required as well as same color shorts and socks.

If we could get one of the Loyalists' sponsors to sponsor our Loyalists FC (or whatever) that would be most excellent.

At this point, nothing definite needs to be decided. Fall registration doesn't begin until July with the season starting in August.

Well, I play keeper but I would be willing to play in the field and give you some time if you'd like.

Ha! I also played keeper in the couple of classes I had at UVSC. Penatly shot stopping fool! Well, I stopped a couple.

I'd love to play on the backline, too. Well, anywhere would do. I think I could suck equally at just about any position. As long as I can have a cool nickname, I'll be happy.

If you guys like, we could give you some space on the Loyalist website to promote your team. Dysko or Loyal1, can they have a sponsor???

Let me know about the web site.

Great idea guys!

I was only volunteering to play keeper assuming others wouldn't want to. I will try any position. I used to be a good enough athlete I will pick stuff up, I hope. It will give me a good excuse to get my fat a$$ in better shape.
