Mathis sounded frustrated...

during the postgame interview. i imagine hes getting frustrated over not getting a goal yet 4 games in. we really need him to step up and get some goals here. **** we need somebody to step up at least. 2 goals in 4 games, not to good. especially for the talent we have there. it looked like kreis and mathis were working together fairly well from what i saw, i just dont see how its not clicking yet. somethings gotta give, someone has to stand out eventually. we cant keep going through this all season long. i have to say that i have not been overly impressed with our offense so far this season. i can give them that first game, the second game.....ok, 1 goal against LD on the road is decent i guess. against colorado i think we were exposed though. constantly going for the lonnnngg pass up to the forwards, not working through the midfield, repeatedly losing posession. at this rate i think we will start losing some fans rapidly. i hope it doesnt keep up.

Please, DO NOT edit your swearing so that is gets past the filter. This is a forum for people of all ages, we don't need to teach anyone's kids any new words. While it doesn't offend me, it may offend others. I have edited this post. Thanks.

Good job, Neil, and thanks for the explanation. It helps to reiterate these policies every once in awhile, to make sure eveyone is on the same page, so to speak.

I fully agree that they must be getting a little frustrated. I've seen a lot of work out of Kreis and Mathis, especially, but I think the real problem is still in the midfield. That's why we are continuing to see the long pass. On the other hand, we are occasionally seeing some great control and attacking from the midfield, so there is hope. We just need it to become the normal mode, not an occasional pleasant surprise.

The other thing I'm seeing is that when they do make shots, they're missing. That part worries me. At the very least, they need to be making the other teams goalie make the save.

Did he ever sound frustrated. The check the pants quote was an all-time classic. Did anyone get a clip of that?

I heard Mathis's interview and I completely agree with him. Mathis was working his butt off, even in the closing minutes (as several other RSL players were WALKING around).

Someone should post this week’s practice schedule as soon as it comes out. I’m interested in showing my support by attending…
