MOTM 23 April 2005

Rusty Pierce

Despite a disappointing loss on the road, the Loyalists have spoken again. Rusty Pierce was voted Man of the Match for the April 23rd game against FC Dallas.

Fans first started buzzing about Rusty after the home opener on April 16th, when Rusty impressed the crowd with aggressive and effective defense. His performance led one Loyalist to refer to him as Rusty “Bulldog” Pierce.

Go get ‘em, Bulldog.

So, we have a 4 way tie so far for Player of the Year.
D.J.
Kreis
Dunseth
Pierce
What happens in the event of an 11 way tie? I guess it will all come down to the swim suit competition... That, I can not be a part of.

So the Player of the Year will be determined by calculating which player earned the most MOTM honors?

No, I think we vote on that, too.

Are eligible MoTY candidates going to be the entire team or only players that got at least one man of the match?

I think anyone on the team should be able to be nominated, although I find it highly unlikely that someone who played well enough the entire year to win the award would have gone 32+ games without playing well enough in one single game to win the MOTM.

That was a long sentence.
