Away Games

I was thinking about going to the HDC for our away game this Saturday. I was wondering if RSL has an allotment of tickets or do you go through the home team? I would rather sit with other Loyalists for two reasons, one we would be louder, and two there are safety in numbers. I don't think MLS seperates supporters like they do in the rest of the world, but I do NOT want sit with a bunch of smelly goats! Any info would be appreciated. Even directions from airport to Carson would be helpful. Hope to see you there.

To my knowledge, MLS doesn't have "away" sections or sell tickets through away clubs like you often see in college sports. Someone please correct me if this isn't the case.

As for the game on 7 May, I won't be able to attend (I'll be coaching a youth team in a tournament all day) but you shouldn't have a problem finding empty seats at a cheetos game. I went to see RSL play the Galaxy on 9 April and couldn't find any other RSL fans (except for my family) but that didn't stop us from cheering. I'll be there (Section 29) on 11 June for RSL-Galaxy again.

What airport are you flying into? If it's LAX, you just head down the 405 (South) to Avalon (North) in Carson, and follow the signs. The HDC is about 3 miles north of the 405, off Avalon and Victoria Streets. To get the the cheapest parking ($10) turn right on East University Srive and then left into the lots (everything is well marked). If you want to park closer than a half mile, it's $15.

The Loyal1 family will be there on June 11. Is section 29 the place to be? Sure I could look it up, but give me your local thoughts.

You mean they won't be honoring my Loyalist Parking Pass 😲
I think I paid $12 to park on the east side of campus in '03 (think it was east)

Great!

Actually, Section 29 was a compromise, since I've got a family to please. We had upper deck seats last season, and those were fine but we upgraded from benches to actual seats for this year. We're on the west side of the stadium, right on the north 18, about six rows up. I got to see both of Landon's goals against us on the 9th, up close and personal. 😠

It's a cliche, but there's not a bad seat in the house.

Sure would be nice to have some Loyalists in the house next time. It was a little lonely last time. I see you guys chanting and hopping and drumming in RES and I'm all kinds of jealous. I know, I should make it up to Salt Lake for a game. Unfortunately, it looks like that won't happen until August.
