International duty in Feb for Scott & Brenes?

Earlier tonight, I was listening to the sports show on 1640 AM. Locura Por El Futbol, I think.

The announcer mentioned Costa Rica's coach wants to concentrate on world cup qualification & will send a "B Team" to the UNCAF (Central American Nations) Cup in February. The UNCAF Cup is also the qualifier for the Gold Cup (North American Nations Cup or the Mexico Invitational if you are a real cynic.)

I don't think that Brenes played in any qualifiers and Scott did not play in any of the Ticos' later qualifiers. Maybe he's out of favor because he did play for Sampson against Cuba...........

Personally, if these two really do end up playing for RSL, I don't want them called up. But they do have skills, so maybe they will.

I thought that yellows were wiped out before the Hex?

But this article says that they carry over.

Scott & Brenes are not mentioned. So they might have WCQ duty if Costa Rica loses any of their regular starters.
