DJ is the MAN!!

Check these stats out from http://www.mlsnet.com/MLS/stats/index.jsp?club=mls:

GOALKEEPING LEADERS
PLAYER TEAM GP MIN SHTS SVS C/P GA GAA W-L-T SHO
Scott Garlick DAL 5 450 17 13 0 4 0.80 3-1-1 2
Matt Reis NE 5 450 18 13 0 5 1.00 4-0-1 3
Zach Wells MET 4 360 13 9 0 4 1.00 1-1-2 1
Kevin Hartman LA 4 360 16 11 0 5 1.25 3-1-0 1
Nick Rimando DC 4 360 13 8 0 5 1.25 1-1-2 2
Zach Thornton CHI 5 405 23 17 0 6 1.33 2-2-0 2
Jon Busch CLB 5 450 29 22 0 7 1.40 2-3-0 2
Joe Cannon COL 5 450 20 13 0 7 1.40 1-3-1 2
D.J. Countess RSL 5 450 38 30 0 8 1.60 1-2-2 2
Bo Oshoniyi KC 4 360 20 13 0 7 1.75 1-1-2 1
Pat Onstad SJ 5 450 29 18 0 11 2.20 1-1-3 0
Brad Guzan CHV 5 450 38 26 0 12 2.40 0-4-1 0
Minimum: 150 minutes played

Correct me if I've got my statisticizing wrong. Notice that DJ has the most shots against him (aside from a tie with Brad Guzen), and his GAA is higher than Brad's. Although, if you take any of the other guys ahead of him, and pad their stats to sit at the same number of shots against him as DJ has had, and pad their saves by the same percentages, you'll notice that DJ is the top dog!!

Now if we could just keep so many shots from actually coming at him...

👍

He IS the man! He's great! But as someone else said, we need to keep him from having to make so many saves! The whole job of the defense is to keep the ball AWAY from him.

Either that or they need to pay him more. He does the amount of work in one game that most keepers do in two or three. So they should pay him 2-3 times as much, right??? :D

Yeah!

We'll let you email Uncles Checketts and Pastorino about his pay raise. :D

I will have to keep those away from my daughter. She and a few of my students started a DJ club last night. Yes, Mike I'm talking about your daughter.

My thirteen-year-old daughter, who doesn't like the game, at least so far, was scrolling through the roster looking for "hot" guys. For some reason she suddenly wants to attend some reserve matches.

So it begins...

We'll take fans however we can get 'em, right? :D

Besides, if the women in our lives know that "hot guys" play the sport, perhaps they'll be more supportive of our addictions, eh?
