📄 Anyone have MLS Direct?

Just curious if anyone has MLS direct and if you think that it is worth it? :D

Direct Kick is rad, especially for weekends when we're away... the only drawbacks are that games sometimes overlap across the country so it's hard to watch all of them (or record them if it's a home game night).

Nothing beats a Saturday night at home in front of the TV, after all. 😉

I have it and I love it, the wife may have a differing opinion.
Boise isn't exactly local to Salt Lake so I had to get the package to ensure I got to see all of Real's games.

I've had DirectKick (or its previous iterations) for years now and it's not only a must but a bargain ($69). Since I don't live in Utah, having DK means I know I'll get just about every RSL game even though I don't get KSL in SoCal, and of course I also get the games broadcast by our opponents' networks.

It's true that since all games are live so they often overlap. I have a combination of DVR/PVR on several TV's to get around that--I'm a soccer nut, what can I say?

You also usually don't get HDnet games, and some games are not broadcast at all (KC and CRapids are weak in this area), so the package does not include every game. It does include most of them, though, and you also get most playoff games.

Sounds like I'm trying to sell the thing, but I get no cut, I promise. If you're an MLS fan, DK gives you a much broader perspective on the league, players, and fans from around the country that you just won't get from ESPN. Now that we are on FSC, life is much better, but DK completes coverage of MLS around the country.

I thought the cRapids were going to be getting sweet coverage with the advent of the Altitude network. I don't understand why all their games aren't on there. I mean Stan Kroenke is the owner of the network and that "soccer club."

I have DK too, its great. A great investment. With ESPN2 this weekend, you can watch all 6 MLS matches this weekend.

Rovers, whats the minimum and cheapest method to record all MLS games?
TiVo? Multiple TVs? I have Dish Network BTW.

I have two DISH boxes, with each feeding two TV's. I use the DISH PVR on two of those TV's, and have a separate HDD/DVD recorder on a third TV. I back it up on the fourth with a VCR. I already had the DVD recorder so I didn't have any added expenses. I got a deal on installation from DISH so I had no extra start up costs for that either.

I don't have TiVo--I just don't need it with the DISH built-ins. I make DVD's of some games for home use as well.

I usually only need two recording at once, but this weekend I'll have three going due to the overlapping games.
