I am hooked on Harry Potter thanks to my students. That is also how I got hooked on Rober Jordan's Wheel of Time series.

I try to get even by getting them hooked on Card, especially the Ender's books and this year I successfully hooked a couple on Asimov.

I like Clancy, but not the net force or whatever books.

Anne McCaffery is also one of my favorites.

Crap! How could I forget Tolkein.

Michener has many excellent books, Chesapeake being the best of them.

Books are my other hobby.

Good for them.

Me either, but that could have something to do with the fact that he didn't write these books. His name on the cover is a cheap promotional gimmick to get you to buy the book.

I read Enders Game last fall I enjoyed that very much.

Anne McCaffrey was my favorite author for a very long time. The Pern Series is phenomenol. White Dragon and DragonDrums were my favorites. All the Weyrs of Pern was my next fav too.

Then I was introduced to Douglas Adams, Isaac Asimov, JRR Tolkein, and my all time favorite author Terry Pratchett... I will challenge all of you to try at least 1 of the 30+ book Discworld series... you will be hooked from there...
and if you don't want to shell out the $7 for a paperback or can't get one from the library. I have nearly all of them so let me know and I will surely loan you one in exchange for one of your favorite books...

Her son Todd has now entered the world of Pern. I read his Dragonsblood this weekend.

I have also enjoyed what Frank Herbert's son Brian and some other guy have done to his Dune Universe.

Have any of you read Katherine Kurtz?

Fever Pitch

Great book by Nick Hornby. Too bad they decided to turn it into a horrible movie about baseball.

I heard that titillating stuff is addictive and corrosive to the soul...

I am glad that many of you are interested in talking about your fav lit.

Just yesterday I picked up Abyss of Evil, a prelude book to the Revenge of the Sith story. Of course I have to finish it before Saturday when my wife is letting me see the new Star Wars movie!

Books require to much reading... I barely read posts that are longer than about five lines. 🙄
