Wow, Deuce! Nice shots. Is it me or did you do an equipment upgrade? These shots seem far superior to stuff I have seen from your camera in previous games.

I was quite frustrated by the first two goals. It seems like we keep getting beat on similar plays. How many times have we been scored on by the other team getting penetration in the box and then dumping the ball back to an unmarked runner from midfield? Can we at least mark a little tighter on set pieces? We just don't seem to be very aggressive there. Getting beat by a great pass or some amazing individual effort is one thing, but it seems like we just aren't maintaining concentration.

I think that Andy is taking an unfair amount of the blame. Sure he is a bit lazy, but that is kind of his game. He had some of the better chances on goal last night. I bet the criticism isn't there if he scores. Yes, it would be nice to see his work rate increase, but his job is to get and create scoring chances. He did okay last night. He has certainly played better, but nearly everyone on RSL seemed flat last night.

If you're asking how everyone sounded on TV, the answer is the usual--quite good. Unfortunately, the enthusiasm level seemed to dip as the game went on, for obvious reasons. It was tough to watch a team that just wasn't putting in a good effort.

Since I was watching the Chicago feed on DK, there were very few shots of the crowd/Loyalists. Even so, RES and the crowd looked and sounded great.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed this. When their offense was attacking, they were allowed to go where they pleased, all over the box, we weren't marking and staying with our man. I think that Pope really provides a lot of cohesion for our back line and last night Behncke wasn't able to organize them very well. When we were on the attack their defense was all over us like white on rice, double and triple teaming Kreis and forcing inaccurate shots. Also our passes forward seemed to go to them a lot of the time.

The crowd sounded great and I could really hear the Loyalists, I just wish there had been more to cheer about. I'm getting tired of watching on my pc, I will see you next week for the double-header!! I bet I can find a cowbell or two here in OK!

Yes I did do an upgrade. Last week I went digital and got a bigger, better lens. Glad you noticed.

Unfortuantely I did not see much of the match, I was trying to get the shots so I was distracted.
Thanks to everyone for your encouragement.

The Loyalists sounded great as usual... the North-End was not it's usual boisterous self so that was a little disappointing. They did manage to start a wave or two which was cool.

The crowd was understandably down... but to me, that is when you get louder... the team needs to see that we are still there "win or Lose"!
Then they will all always come to play.

The Loyalists were the only ppl I could hear in the second half... Great job guys. Keep it up.

Positives

Here are my post match positives.
1. Us in the north part of the stadium got to see a goal. Wrong team, but a goal.

2. The grass. Finally we got to see the game on the real stuff. Like coach said, these guys have been playing on it all their life. It shouldn't matter what surface it is. Next week should be fun.

3. My three-year-old daughter, in her new Jr. Loyalist shirt, after Chicago's third goal, is screaming at the top of here lungs over and over, "Go Real Salt Lake! We need you to score!" After the game I asked her, What should Real have done to make it more fun, and she responded, "They should have put the ball in the net." My wife said that I have trained her well.

I took some photos of the game too. They're not as nice as Deuce's. I didn't take too many this time because Chicago's early goal kind of put me out of the picture taking mood.

It was? I thought it might have been someone who knew fuegote. I tried yelling that out during the game from my spot on about row 14, but I don't think he heard me.

When RéAL has their two weeks off, I'm going to have to bang the cowbell around my house to be happy.

Sorry little fuegotes, here are you ear plugs.
