Post game show

What did you all think of the post game show? I thought it was nice to listen to commentary on the game for the trip home. I thought that the callers were being a little harsh on Williams, one caller even comparing him to Ostertag?! Anyway, I'm glad they did it, it would be nice to have it with the coach or some team member along with Checketts.

Who did they have on? I am going to have to start bringing my miniature radio with phones so I can listen to it while I am waiting for the next Trax train.

They had on Checketts' son (forgive me, the name slips me) and Pastorino came on for a short segment. Of course the host, I can't remember his name either. It's late...

So the show was done by Spencer Checketts and Ryan Hatch? Does anyone know if Scholesy was on the broadcast again?

Yeah, it was Spence Checketts and I can't remember the other guys name. I don't think it was Hatch though. Scholesy was again on the broadcast from what I could tell. I just got the tail end as I got into my car.

My opinion of the post game show is that it was nice to have a longer one. The callers were fine enough (maybe a few more well informed callers, but it wasn't horrible). I would have liked to see a bit more fresh analysis from the radio guys though. They brought out some good points, but their commentary got repetitive by the end of the show I felt. Yes, the callers were very harsh on Williams I felt. He didn't have a great game, but he wasn't that bad.

👍

Yeah, I drive to Spanish Fork after the game and it was REALLY nice to have that postgame show to listen to. I agree it was repetetive, but what more can you say, once you've admitted that they just played poorly?

The level of commentary isn't really the point. The point is simply to have something about the game to listen to on the way home.

I was happy about the call in show. Yes it got repetitive and yes the callers were negative...but to me the point is that it shows that people in the community are interested in the team and in soccer. That is awesome! Have you ever listened to a call in show after a Jazz defeat...it is pretty similar. The host Steven Gerrard...even though he has a good soccer name, doesn't really know anything about soccer so I don't expect much analysis from him. I am just glad the sport is getting more and more established. I hope Real can win a bit more and things can just keep growing.

Post Game

The post game talk was from Scotty Gerrard and Spence Checketts. Most of the callers were calling out Andy Williams. One girl was probably about 12, said Andy was "lazy." I think it was a good place for people to vent about the lack of effort last night.

Why Scotty Gerrard?

The guy says he hates soccer and they have him on the post game show? They need to find somebody else.

Why not? They have another guy who hates soccer doing the play by play.
