Chant Cheat Sheet

This has been suggested a number of times...

If we can decide on what chants to put down, my company will donate the cost/labor/materials to get several hundred little sheets printed up to hand out at the match this Saturday. But I think that it should be lyrics to things like "Ellinger's Army" or the Sponge Bob Song, not "clap clap, clap clap clap, REAL". I suggested some here: http://www.realsaltlake.org/forums/showthread.php?t=1209

If we can get consensus on a bunch by late Thursday, I'll get it done.

This tends to be easier on the internet than in the stadium.

When we've done something like this before we ended up missing stuff on the field while checking our cheat sheets.

I don't mean to be a know-it-all or a downer.

I would suggest perhaps these:

to the tune of 99 bottles of beer on the wall:

95 goals in the back of the net
95 goals in the net
Jason Kreis, you’re the best yet
95 goals in the back of the net

Jason Kreis, Superstar
95 goals you have scored to far.
repeat

Ellinger's Army
We're all part of Ellinger's Army.
We're all out to win the league.
And we'll really mess them up,
When we win the flippin' cup.
'Cause Real is the greatest football team.

To the tune of “Yellow Submarine”:

We’re on our way,
We’re on our way,
To win the game,
And then the cup.
We’re on our way,
We’re on our way,
To win the game,
And then the cup.

We all cheer for Real Salt Lake.
Real Salt Lake. Real Salt. Lake
We all cheer for Real Salt Lake.
Real Salt Lake. Real Salt. Lake

I think the point was to get the lyrics to people who aren't checking the net for things like chants, and have them keep the sheets for later use too.

But if the Loyalists president doesn't think it is a good idea, I won't press it.

I don't think it's a bad idea. I just know it hasn't worked for me in the past. I'm not sure we're all ready to commit to a world where I am the sole role model.

In your Dallas home...
In your Dallas home...
You look in the dustbin for something to eat,
You find a dead cat and you think it's a treat!
In your Dallas home.

sorry Jamie.

Okay, well, no one wanted to comment until you weighed in, and no one has commented since, I think that shows the level of interest. We may still do it, I think it would be especially good for the USMNT fans coming out, I know many of them are looking for RSL to get a win v. Dallas and it would be cool to have them cheering for us.

I think it would be a good ideal to get the lyrics out to the rest of the stadium.

We also need to repeat them more than we do.
