I guess it's just been blown out of proportion for too long by too many people so now it's a bit of a hot button for people. I hope that doesn't offend anyone.

I don't get offended talking about pioneer history. I just don't consider pioneer history to be "my" history any more than I would consider Anasazi history to be "my" history.

If we want to get into shared experiences, maybe we should rename the team Real Town Full of People Who Moved Here from Southern California 😉 .

Now I am feeling really left out!!! 😲

I am not from Southern California either!

I suppose I am a minority in a group of minorities... hehe... as if that would bother me either!

If I can not be the same as you... then I will be different!
Unique is, well... for the lack of a better term... 'unique'

:D

Ha ha! My family moved here from Kansas in about 1981 or 1982, but since then I've noticed tons and tons of people coming from California. It works great for my brother who builds houses, because these suckers come here thinking houses should cost as much here as they do there. Leads to great home sales for someone in real estate. 😉

Wow! I left a post, didn't come back for a couple days, and look what it turned into.

For the record, I was refering to our state's first governor and our state's socio-political history when I mentioned "The Place". I did not mean to make this a divisive or religious issue. Being in Nevada for the last semester has made me forget how hyper-sensitive Utah can be. 🙄

Someone mentioned "Parilment". I like it!
