What position do/did you play?

I was just wondering position you guys played or if you never really played soccer.

I was a right/center back for my 4 years of High School. We didn't have much earlier soccer where I grew up, except being the designated goalie for my brothers to score on when I was a wee lad.
Once I got to college, I was so far out of my league, I was embarrassed out of playing regularly.

Anyone else care to share?

My position then was the same it is now: bench-warmer... that is, warming the spectator benches.

I only played little-league (YMCA) soccer. I played every position on the field as the coach dictated. Our team never scored a goal. In fact, I think our nickname was CD Chivas USA.

I played center half back since i was about 12. I mostly played offensive center but did play some defensive.

In my indoor league I play forward. Our striker is a guy from Gabon who used to play for Fulham's reserve, so really my position is "get the ball to Joe as quick as possible".

I played mostly center-back or center-midfield, because I was a total hacker despite my diminutive stature.

I did play forward a little bit my freshman year in high school, but I was too slow to really be great up front. Most of the goals I scored in my lifetime were from shots taken 35 yards out, or on penalty kicks.

I played right back for my high school career, but before that I played just about everything, including goalie on occasion.

I played center back through high school. (Sweeper)

For mens league games I was a right Fullback so that I could join in on the attack. I'm a Rusty Pierce clone.

I played in the goal for the longest time, until I became a wuss and afraid of the ball (interesting story). Then I became a defender. Right defense to be exact.
