World Youth Championships

Did anyone else watch the U-20s on FSC this morning? They played fairly well, but could improve on their finishing. Oh well, a 1-0 result over Argentina shouldn't be complained about.

I watched the last 15-20 minutes. I enjoyed it a lot (especially the result.) I felt kinda bad for His Freddyness on that PK. Go USA!

Barrett and Wynne (sp?) were studs. Future for the US looks promising.

Except for the keeper. He sucked.

Anybody watch the Chile-Honduras game on spanish lang TV? (games on every day) There were some Youth International Discovery Players that Real needs to try and get. Of course any of the 5 goal scorers (they got 7 total) would be good choice and Muneos #13 a Midfield passer/playmaker who could become a Vallederama.

A 1-0 win over guys earning paychecks in the very tough Argentinean League is very impressive.

I saw pretty much the entire first half.

There was some very impressive passing by the US.

I agree, RSL needs to take some hard looks at some new Int'l and skilled players.
Our team is too all-American. Look at Dallas, LA and Revs, they have some flava and they get it done.

But back on topic, Barret and the boys did a great job. Can RSL draft someone named Marvel Wynn? U can't go wrong!

Prime, I think you are forgetting a few players. We won't have the cash to go after most of those guys.

Who am I forgetting? 😉
And of course we don't have the cash. We only have a couple of discoveries left anyway (even if we had rubles).

Selowane, Fitzpatrick, Rojas and of course the failed Halilivic experiment.
