Fellow golfers,

If you're interested in playing in the Not Pele Shootout, a two-day golf tournament in Wendover from Aug. 8-9 — put on by the DesNews writer who occassional posts here — please e-mail me at jedward22 [at] yahoo.com.

This golf tournament is an absolute blast. We play up to 36 holes each of the two days, and we all wear soccer jerseys around the golf course all day, it's a cool sight to see. I have a handful of openings left, and I couldn't think of better people to invite to play in a Soccer Geek's tournament than more Soccer Geeks.

The cost is $170, and includes up to 72 holes of golf, two nights at the Rainbow Casino, over $1,000 in total prize money and a Rainbow Casino hospitality room loaded with beverages and snacks.

I have to save up my Kitchen Passes for RSL games and maybe the CRapids road trip.

I'm the '99 Metrostars/'03 Dallas/'05 CDCUSA of golf, but I'd love to get out and grip it and rip it.
