My letter to the Editor...

As I have mentioned before I have been hounding the Sports editor of the Idaho Statesman about soccer all season. Today they posted one of my letters concerning the lack of info after the WCQ.

Mike Prater is the Sports editor and also a UofU graduate.

The link and then the article...

Soccer gets ignored

Couldn't sports editor Mike Prater have at least printed an article from the Salt Lake Tribune or Des News concerning the World Cup qualifier? They had a ton of coverage, and all you had was a sidebar that pretty much just gave a result. In just one article alone that appeared in the Tribune, they interviewed two Idahoans. A youth soccer team from Boise got to walk out with one of the national teams, and still no mention from The Statesman. I found out that the row of people sitting behind me were from Boise. Your lack of coverage for this regional event was a slap in the face for soccer fans in this valley. Just because you guys ignore soccer will not make it go away.
