One thing we could improve on though is bouncing. Was there any bouncing up and down going on?

A few of us started to bounce when the goal was scored but I´m not sure anyone else did or at least I didn´t see anyone else.

I think it's great when we chant the player's names too. I have heard on sports programs that players love to hear their name chanted in the stands.

I think we could work on some melodies other than children's songs. I have a couple that would sound great, and there are very few lyrics at all. I don't want to offend anyone either, but I would like some songs other than children's songs. That doesn't mean we have to start screaming profanities or anything, but maybe songs that sound a little more tough.

I'd be happy to teach everyone a couple of melodies at the tailgate if anyone is interested, and if you don't like them, then we don't have to sing them.

You can download the chants from www.theloyalists.com
print it out and bring it with you... save those brain cells for more important things like which ale to have at the tailgate!

I prefer Newcastle Brown Ale but some like Ginger Ale!

I like the chanting the name idea. As for bouncing when they score a goal, I may be too out of my mind to focus on anything that requires rythym and focus. :D

It will take a great deal of effort, but it would be awesome if we could bounce the entire game. I thought I was going to pull a hammy a couple times, but the entire section bouncing would be an impressive sight.

We should think about repeating some of our songs and chants a few more times when we start them. Maybe the rest of the crowd can pick up on some of them that way. I wouldn't suggets another 5 minute version of row row your boat, but a few more times than 2 may be good.

What does everyone else think?

I mentioned this to our dear drummer, whistler, and general racket creator after we finished a chant and heard the whole north end continue it for one more round. We need to keep them going probably about twice as long as we do them. If we give everyone a little more time to hear it and sing along, I think it will turn the whole crowd into Loyalists before we're through. Especially the Ole chant, everyone seems to know that one and want to sing it.

Just a side note... this week I actually heard you more than the samba guys... plus when you guys were singing and chanting people actually started in on most of them.

Good work...
