GK with age can work, look at Meola vs say Jonny Walker. I would take Meola in an instant. However, older forwards do not work. Some can be creative (like Cobi) but thats an exception not the rule.

True. The GK is an interesting position, and if you can get a good one I think the age isn't the main factor. I think it is more of a factor with all field positions, but especially forwards. So now that I have basically repeated what you just said, I'll say:

We want Keller! *clap clap clapclapclap*
Kreis... not as much *clap clap clapclapclap*

I'm putting my money on Keller. This is really exciting.

Wow, how cool would this have been?

Alas, we had DJ...nice guy, questionable choice as #1 keeper. I tried all season but no one would make the sign:

He would have been worth probably five games by himself.

Scary enough...you are probably correct. Then we would all be congratulating Ellinger on a fine first season...where is the fun in that?

I'm always amazed how much coaching improves when you have better players.

A funny Mrs. Keller quote was "Germany is just as foriegn as Utah". Besides, they live in a German castle now.
The Kellers have been in Europe following Kasey's career for over 10 years.
