Trust me it isn't personal. I would have gone ballistic if anyone had suggested this. Even if you were joking...
😉

I have no problem with you aero.
Most artists are able to handle a little constructive criticism, even when it is serious. Almost all of them can handle it when it is meant as a total joke with absolutely nothing serious meant in it at all. Again, I say it is you that has issues if your first response is to be so defensive and negative towards something that was meant as a total joke. Relax a little.

After all, I am the only one that is taking offense to what has been posted on this thread right?
Oh, okay, I have issues...
How deliciously ironic. You now have issues with me because I said that you have issues. Go back and re-read the thread to see who accused who of having issues first. You are the one that blew up at a simple joke. I would say that means you do have issues. Your sig says you have issues too. What exactly does you sig mean? Want to explain it to the rest of the people that don't know? Are you brave enough to actually tell everyone? Just so everyone knows what it is:

Aero, I know that gohertha's apology was sincere. And goherta, Aero DID say that the lyrics to the song were great.

May I suggest that Aero puts goherta in his ignore list and that goherta puts Aero in his? I think a lot of this contention will go away if we use the technical tools this forum system provides us to function as a community.

I'm a tenor, and I forget that as well. With the melody (which is the right melody, it's perfect for a hymn without using religious songs) we have to pick the right note, because it could easily be too low as well. But you're right, it was too high, and i'm paying the penalty today. although, i love sounding like the late barry white, if even for one afternoon.

"My darling love, can't get enough of your love baby"

And how about the SLC Jesters? Coma-coma-coma-coma-coma-comon Real. That was awesome.

I heard everyone singing the hymn lastnight, but never understood a word. Is it posted somewhere? Sorry if I missed it.

Yes, please, spread it. We'll put it to good use in 37.

If you want to use the melody from Old Canada which I grew quite fond of while my Blue Jays were winning back to back World Series titles, you may want to listen to it so we sing it right next time. The start is dead on and the end is dead on, but the middle we lost the melody. It will be beautiful once we get the melody right. You may need to rework some of the lyrics yourself to fit the actual tune, since you are unwilling to take any input on it.

The pieces of paper were a good idea at the game, put it should be posted somewhere to.

I also agree with mrstucki in that some of the lyrics don't quite fit the number of syllables needed for a particular line in order to match the flow of the tune. Some tweaking should be done there. mrstucki has shown his prowess in earlier threads with doing so, but we'll understand if you'd rather do it yourself - or leave it alone.

Also, I agree with Fuegote in that it was too high, and while I too wear my shattered "day after" voice with pride, if I can't even sing the hymn at the end of the game because of it's pitch, and if this same phenomenom occurs with others, it's effectiveness dwindles. Perhaps a couple of pre-game sessions to rehearse it before we actually have to put it to use, going through different pitches.

Nothing wrong with constructive criticism (sp?) The author is working on changing some of the words to make it flow better. Even perhaps shorten it?

Last night was the first crack at it....I thought we did pretty good. Thanks for the Feedback

We will hand out more next home match...even you section 37
