I’m the Technical Manager of Cytogenetics at the U of U Medical Center. I’ve been there for over 20 years (damn I’m getting old) and I work with 40 absolutely great (most of them) technologists, lab aides, secretaries and supervisors. We diagnose chromosomal aberrations and other genetic syndromes in prenatal, postnatal, and cancer patients.

I can't sum up my 'job' into just one word or a small description. I'm a shouffer, cook, maid, accountant(a bad one too, just ask DadOf8. That's why I get an allowance, and HE does the books), referee, complaints department, cheering section, I'm in control of toxic waste(diapers and vomit), seamstress, taste tester.....the list goes on and on.

On the side, I go to school. One day, I might just finish and be Dr.MomOf8 LOL!! I don't know if DadOf8 wants me putting our real names on here, so you'll just have to use your imagination.

Mostly, I am a full time student. (Given right?) But I do have a babysitting job where I work 30 hours a week! (For the summer...) And at least it's money, that's more than most 13 year olds can say.

I am a geography teacher. I also work as chauffeur to demanding teenagers.
