Letter to RCB (and others)

Rock on guys.. lets get things going so that when you are ready to launch it goes well.

I just want to say that I love RSL... I want things to explode for them. I think another group is great for soccer and RSL.

That said I want to issue my appologies that you have felt left out. But, even as a co-founder/VP of the Loyalists at times I have felt left out of things. However, despite what one or two people have done to make me feel out of the loop I have stuck with it.

I am glad that you have found an outlet and are sticking with it as well. Know that I am always available to discuss Loyalist stuff with. Glenn often gets over loaded (or as his wife would say, spends way to much time on soccer... hey wait my wife says that too. Man those two ladies are troopers.)

A lot of things get differed to Glenn... so don't feel like a stranger. The same goes to anyone who ever feels the need to discuss things Loyalist related, I am available.

Much Love to All RSL supporters, (but more to those who are patient, supportive, not as into it spouses/significant others).

Thank you for the letter, that is very cool.

I seriously would like to suggest that the Loyalists get (elect, appoint, whatever) an official person for the purpose of communicating with the Rogue Cavaliers Brigade. Speaking only for myself, every day I get messages from various Loyalists (none of whom are actual Loyalists leaders) trying to be sure that The Rogue Cavaliers Brigade is aware of such-and-such and issue and how it affects the Loyalists. It is hard to sort out what is "authoritative" and what is one Loyalist's opinion. In my opinion if there is one thing that could harm relationships between the two groups it is individual Loyalists speaking for the group in the forums and behind-the-scenes communications.

Originally I suggested Aerick or Czar Jake for the job (but I really don't want to give the impression that this is anything more than a suggestion). In retrospect, while we don't have hard feelings for the guy as a group, Czar Jake is a major reason that things have come to where they have, so maybe he isn't the best possible person. If Dysko is the man for the job, that is cool too. I just think that we need some assurances that when someone is claiming to be speaking on behalf of the Loyalists that such is actually the case.

We would appoint such a person as well.

I realize that there has been much water under the bridge between us Old Ska but I have always maintained that their are no hard feelings or grudges. I am also very interested in what you guys are doing and want to help you as much as possible. I have communicated with a member of your group and offered assistance.

I would also like to make it known that I support what you guys are doing.

So I will put my name in the mix to act as a representative from the Loyalists...
obviously it is up to the Loyalist leadership to approve it and to RCB to accept it but I offer nonetheless.

I think that it would be better all around if it were someone who had always had a postive or neutral (or at least publicly neutral) attitude towards and relationship with the Rogue Cavaliers Brigade. Especially during these early stages. Dysko or Aerick both fit that bill, in my opinion as do a number of others. Scilaci, Bordelais7, etc.

But the emphasis is not on who it is, just on the knowledge that when that person speaks the Rogue Cavaliers Brigade can have the assurance that they have an "official" voice, and are speaking in an "official" capacity.

I would also like to amend an earlier statement and say that if anything is going to be danagerous to relationships between the two groups it is individual Loyalists or Rogue Cavalier Brigade members speaking for their group in the forums and behind-the-scenes communications.

Ok well I am sorry that you feel that I am not the person for the job.

I have shown publicly and privately that I am willing to put things behind us and help out as much as possible to ensure that both groups have a smooth relationship.

I am sorry that you can not meet me half way. Just as well the offer will remain in place and if someday you can see fit to consider it seriously I will do what I can to help.

Thanks,
Deuce

I totally agree with you dysko! I think another group that caters to a different demographic is a wonderful thing. The ideal would be a group for every demographic and we fill the whole stadium. We can only hope that it happens in few years.

The RCB has a great group of core guys right now that I have been proud to stand next to and cheer with at games. They are going to be a great group. I'm just glad that they will be on our side cheering with us.

I am just one Rogue Cavaliers Brigade member, and I am not saying never. I just think that certain wounds are still too fresh to have people centrally involved in the controversey be responsible for smooth communications between the two groups this season. I don't think that I should be considered for the comperable RCB position for the exact same reason.

Fair enough. I just felt it would actually help to facilitate healing those wounds faster. To show a united front. To be able to show everyone that sees the process happening that no amount of bickering can be insurmountable.

I can assure you that what is most important to me is not the Loyalists or RCB. It is RSL and I feel that what ever differences I have with anyone will not interfere with my love of the game and for RSL.

I feel that both groups have a single and Identical purpose and end goal... It is the way each of us reach that goal that differs.

I see that it is paramount that both groups work together to reach that end and no amount of animosity, past, present or future should derail that.

but that is just my opinion.

I agree with that totally as well.
We should be united in one cause: to cheer for our Reds!
I think this discussion has really helped everybody to understand that we are very similar in the cause

to help our lads GET goals! Hopefully on the friggin' North side. To that end, I'd like us to all bow our heads and say a little prayer:

Our Uncle, Who's name is Dave
(Hallowed by his name)
If thy will be done,
The goals will come
In North, as well as South.
Give us this year 100 goals.
And forgive our obnoxiousness
As we cheer wildly for the lads.
Lead us not to last place,
But deliver us to 1st.
For thine is RSL,
and for that
we love thee,
for ever and ever.
Amen
