Loyalist Liaison

Who would you like to nominate? Although the ultimate decision will be made by RCB members, we value the input of active loyalists as well.

I think goertha, while initially can come of as abrasive, is a dedicated individual and is well suited.

fuegote is also a good vote.

I won't nominate RCB members who may be hesitant to "come out of the closet," if they want the liaison position, please either PM me or nominate yourself.

Also, what does this job encompass? Discuss.

Wait until the RCB is official. Y'all have been saying it's not formed yet, won't be official till next year probably (right?) and are planning to be with the Loyalists until then. Right?

So wait until next year. A LOT can happen in that amount of time.

You nominated Czar Jake...One note that if you're doing this THIS year, Jake will be out of town during the last couple months of the season, and I think a couple months of next year's season as well (undecided or unknown time schedule, right Jake?) So you probaby want to choose somebody who will actually be in town. 😉

I think I'd be a good choice from a diplomatic point of view, but not sure that I'm the best choice in other ways. 🙂

If you have plans to become a member of the RCB please don't feel that you need to hide.

[sarcasm]It is just the way you were born... there is nothing you can do to help it.[/sarcasm]

I know that there has been some negative vibe floating around here the past few weeks. That is unfortunate, but please feel free to talk freely about who you are and how you want to support RSL.

That said, I would imagine that a liason position would be quite simply a person who in designated to make sure that the two groups are communicating and work together (not against each other) to help build RSL and soccer here in Utah.

Yeah, I think we kind of thought Jake was not the one for the job this year after all.

I think the Bardguy's original post in this thread was meant as "who should be the Rogue Cavaliers Brigade Special Envoy to The Loyalists", so until we have your membership montgjules, you can't be considered.

I think that is written too broadly. I would say that the position is to act as the organization's official voice in communicating with other RSL supporters groups.

If the Loyalists write their position description with a broader mission, that is totally cool with me...just so long is whoever is the liason to the RCB has the support of the Loyalists leadership (and probably membership) and the understanding that they speak officially for the Loyalists. Many, many misunderstandings will be avoided this way.

My two cents:

Fuegote is a good choice because he seems to have come off fairly even-keeled during the whole RCB "controversy". gohertha, I agree, is very passionate and I'm sure very dedicated, but perhaps passion isn't what's needed at this point.

Ahh, I gotcha. I thought it was somebody that would be a liaison between the two, not so much an envoy from one to the other. In that case...

I think the Rouge Brigadoon sounds very promising because of the energy and passion, but I don't want to be surrounded by a lot of cussing. That's the bottom line. If I have to choose, I'll have to choose the family atmosphere. :D

I agree, I like to fight, too. I am probably not the best choice. I will stick to writing songs and stuff.

I think it is unfair to characterize the differences between the groups as just about cussing (which while that may become true in implementation isn't the point, the differences are actually more philosophical in nature). But that may well be an issue that makes you stay with the Spoilists...which is why you might not have recieved our recruitment packet.
