I think this is a awesome pickup for RSL. Seriously, how many of our players have experience in England?
Here are some cool links about Adolfo. Darlington page http://www.darlington-fc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Squad/Profiles/0,,10339~31256,00.html He is from Turlock, California and is a Bruin alumni (but you knew that already) http://www.yanks-abroad.com/content.php?mode=players&id=0050 He plays the midfield position which RSL needs bad. This looks like a great choice for RSL! Last edited by SoccerPrime : 06-30-2005 at 05:37 AM.

In one sense, yes, but on the other hand, it's not like we're picking up 36-year-olds from Europe who will play two seasons at most, either. I think a lot of the acquisitions Coach E has made have been looking to the future, to be honest. Looking at the MLS Superdraft over the last 10 years, for every Alecko Eskandarian and Clint Dempsey, there are the Steve Shaks and Chris Carrieris, too, so I don't think what RSL is doing is necessarily a bad thing.

I am not sure if you all realize it, but all RSL did here was get the rights to Gregorio from the CRapids.
It doesn't mean he will even play for RSL or MLS for that matter. He still has to agree to return to the US and play for RSL. The CRapids had his rights for over a year and never saw him. Food for thought.

I doubt Coach Ellinger would trade away the future for a player he doesn't even know if he'll show up. If Coach made the trade you could probably bet that Adolfo had told him he would come and play.
It shows that he was a UCLA Bruin for 3 years. I could be mistaken but I think his first year was the one year that our very own D.J. Countess played at UCLA. __________________

He was also Bruins teamates with such powers as Matt Taylor of Chivas USA. Affectionately known as the Mullet or Benchwarmer. :D

Does someone know how to look at that U 17 roster? It is very impressive! They earned the title, "THE TEAM OF THE DECADE".
They came in 4th IN THE WORLD! I don't think ANY American team has equaled their World Cup finish. There were also quite a few who attended UCLA tegether, some staying on longer than others.
