That's cool man. Anyway, I suppose we should feel lucky that unlike other teams, we have people actually fighting to put up a stadium. I just keep reminding myself of that. And take a few deep breaths.

Fair enough guys... I realize that this is one of the threads that is clear as mud and the line between stadium and politics is very thin indeed.
I just wanted to make sure that everyone understands that it is not a political debate. I saw the comment about "no leadership in the mayors office" and that is where I had to post the reminder. I am pleased to see that everyone is being adult about this.

Good to see though that we may have a decision within a few weeks.
Although Sandy may not be everyone's first choice, we need to get the team off of that damned field turf with all the football lines. I'm just happy it looks like we won't have to endure what Metro fans have had to endure.

Sandy would be good for us (un)happy valley folk. What would be considered a central location based on Wasatch Front population density? --Geoff :dontgetit

It's true a central location is important, but you also have to consider real movement of people. For example, Utah County doesn't usually venture too far North in search of fun. Davis County, however, comes to SLC all the time. So, it wouldn't necessarily make sense to move a stadium 25 minutes closer to U.C. and 25 minutes further from D.C. South of Salt Lake County they kind of do their own thing.

It's true. Davis County spends huge money in SLC.
A downtown stadium would be easily accessible by Davis County and all of Salt Lake Valley. Provo and Orem has to come from pretty far south in Utah County, and has to brave the point of the mountain. I doubt we'd attract many more from Utah County with a move south.
