An SLC cop friend of mine told me that the fairpark area is a notorious area for prostitution. If that is true, it sure would make that a less desirable choice.

Maybe I'm not in the right place at the right time, but I've never seen that problem around here.

I think I remember that outbreak. That was quite a few years ago, wasn't it?

This is because the criminals go from Fair Park to the other surrounding areas to perform thier aggravated assaults, auto thefts, burglaries, car prowls, car strips, homicides, robberies, sex assaults and drive-by shootings. 😉

Sugarhouse? Wow! I would have never guessed that Sugarhouse is so high in crime. The thing about the fairgrounds area is that it's mostly commercial property not residential, that could explain the low crime numbers.

Let's build the stadium in the Yalecrest neighborhood. It's not too far from RES and I'm sure the residents wouldn't mind buldozing a few homes to make way for a stadium.

I'm sure you don't mean The Red Iguana.

If you do, I don't want to hear the evidence, ignorance is bliss.

It was Taco Bell and Denny's on N. Temple and Redwood. It was a husband and wife. I think the husband was at Denny's and wife at Taco Bell. I remember Taco Bell's corporate office taking out an add in the SLC papers to apologize for it and to encourage people to continue patronizing them. I've been to that Taco Bell in Rose Park since and I'm happy to report that...ARRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!!!!

Crime really wasn't ever my concern, or at least not my biggest concern. My concerns have always been image, perception and atmosphere. All 3 of those items are demeaned by building at the fairpark in my opinion.
