Jaime Watson

Okay, I know some of you teeny boppers are going to be real jealous about this one. Well, tonight during the fireworks there was some kind of emergency that held up the fireworks, so Jaime Watson came over by where I was sitting and signed autographs for all the people near us in sections 35 and 36. He didn't have a pen so I gave him my Sharpie and told him to hang onto it so he could sign autographs. He asked me if I was sure, and I said, "Yeah, everyone is borrowing it from me anyway, just hang onto it." He signed a bunch of autographs and then gave the Sharpie back to me saying, "Thanks, that really helped a lot." And here are the pictures to prove it:

Nice work DadOf8. I saw him go over and saw you talking to him. Did he go over to talk to someone else in the crowd there? It seemed that when he kicked the ball into the stands he was trying to get it to someone over there. Did he go over to see them or sign autographs? Do you know?

I'm not sure. He was walking by and I held my hand down and he shook it. Then I asked him if he would mind signing my program. He said he didn't mind and asked if I had a pen. That's when everyone in our area started asking him for autographs. I think he probably did come over to our area to talk to someone, that would make sense. I was thinking to myself that he had just come over to say hello to all of us, but now that you mention that, it makes more sense why he was over there. I'm glad to have Jaime on our team, he's a class act.

That is pretty cool. He is good about talking to fans after practice, too.

I just sent Watson a thank you email for coming over to our section and signing autographs. I feel like such a teenager. I noticed that he mentioned his good friend montgjules in Jaime's journal, what's up with that? 🙂

I'm impressed with how much he seems to enjoy interacting with the fans.
