Champions League

The first round of the CL is over and Roma has bowed out 😠 but here is who is left and their possible matchups in the next round:

Monaco - Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, PSV Eindhoven, Barcelona, Werder Bremen, Porto

Liverpool - Bayer Leverkusen, Juventus, Lyon, AC Milan, Inter Milan

Bayer Leverkusen - Liverpool, Man U, PSV Eindhoven, Barcelona, Porto

Real Madrid - Monaco, Juventus, Lyon, Arsenal, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Chelsea

Juventus - Liverpool, Real Madrid, Man U, PSV Eindhoven, Barcelona, Werder Bremen, Porto

Bayern Munich - Monaco, Lyon, Arsenal, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Chelsea

Lyon - Liverpool, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, PSV Eindhoven, Barcelona, Werder Bremen, Porto

Manchester United - Monaco, Bayer Leverkusen, Juventus, AC milan, Inter Milan

Asenal - Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Werder Bremen, Porto

PSV Eindhoven - Monaco, Bayer Leverkusen, Juventus, Lyon, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Chelsea

AC Milan - Liverpool, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Man U, PSV Eindhoven, Werder Bremen, Porto

Barcelona - Monaco, Bayer Leverkusen, Juve, Lyon, Arsenal, Inter Milan, Chelsea

Inter Milan - Liverpool, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Man U, PSV Eindhoven, Barcelona, Porto

Werder Bremen - Monaco, Juventus, Lyon, Arsenal, AC Milan, Chelsea

Chelsea - Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, PSV Eindhoven, Barcelona, Werder Bremen

FC Porto - Monaco, Bayer Leverkusen, Juventus, Lyon, Arsenal, AC Milan, Inter Milan

Wow that was a lot more work that I thought it was going to be! Of course I'd like to see a Eindhoven - Leverkusen matchup to see Beasley vs. Donovan. I think the pairings come out tomorrow, but they don't play until like February.

If anyone notices any errors in the above mishmash, please point them out

Thanks Deuce.

There are some killer matchups in this round! Real Madrid vs. Juventus and Man U vs. AC Milan should both be some amazing games. As for Donovan and Beasley, some tough teams to play but a good possiblility to advance. I hope Donovan is in the starting XI for B.L.'s games. They don't start until the end of February, so I guess he'll have time to win a spot on the team.

Barcelona vs. Chelsea too, wow. I guess they are all pretty formidable matchups, this is the veritable A-list of European teams. When it gets a bit closer we should predict winners.

FORCA BARCA!

Can't find a bad matchup anywhere. Maybe Bremen/Lyon or PSV/Monaco. Whatever, it's a good time to be a soccer fan.

Of course, it's always a good time to be a soccer fan.

Is it April Yet?

Whatever! Those are the best ones! Gotta cheer for the French teams! Plus Bremen has ex-Bordeaux star Johan Micoud.
