Do you spend too much time on RSL.org?

Here we go with another off-topic thread:

Do you find yourself skipping meals because you might have missed something on the RSL.org forums? Do you call in sick to work/school so that you can read posts? Are you only getting 1 to 3 hours of sleep each night so that you can get your post fix?

If so, you might be a RSL junkie.

Nothing, I repeat, nothing gets in the way of sleeping. Especially on Saturdays.

Not even the prospect of posting utter gibberish on RSL.org.

I do, however, spend inordinate amounts of time just reading posts while I'm at work. I find the "Who's Online" feature to be quite entertaining, oddly enough.

Guilty as charged. Though it's good to see that I'm not alone. ๐Ÿ™‚

I don't want to admit how much time I spend here. But I'm sure you guys could make a pretty accurate guess. ๐Ÿ˜›

It's funny, I was just thinking about that exact thing, and considering starting a thread about it. The Forum seems to get more props than it deserves (no offense Neil, you've done a great job here). I think a lot of the problems that happened with RCB guys arose because many people think that the forum IS the Loyalists. Which I think couldn't be less true. Do you see Loyal1 with a post in every thread? Or Lucky13? Or Dysko? and so on. The forum just has people who like forums on it. Not even 15% of the Loyalists hit this site on a daily or probably even weekly basis.

I've found recently that I spend too much time on the forum, and it has detrimental effects on other parts of my life. I'm considering only checking the forum once a week. There's so much work that I don't get done because I'd rather be blabbering about nothing of consequence here. If I start becoming hard to get ahold of here, don't think that I hate you or ignore you. I'm just easing off a little. I think my wife and kids are more important to me after all.

The belief that this forum IS the Loyalists came about naturally and reasonably. This is how we started it, except it was on BS. We were all (all 10 of us) posting on there to get interested people to come and start a supporters group for a team that had no name, no players, no uniforms, no FO, only an owner. Then they had an owner AND a supporters group. Then we had an owner, a supporters group and a forum. And most of us were still posting on this forum at that time. Then we started to grow and it is no longer true that this forum IS the Loyalists. Since the first game, we have grown a lot and many of those new members either don't know about the forum, or don't care, but right at first, this forum WAS the loyalists.

By the way, I usually look into the forum during the first hour or two of my work day, as it is very slow, but other than that, I don't do much with it. I use it as a source of information about the games and the Loyalists plans and activities.

All this talk about RSL.org = The Loyalists is seriously starting to give me a complex.

Are you all TRYING to force me onto BS or what?
