Gregorio may play Sat. v. KC. If Darlington FC signs the FIFA paperwork that says he is out of contract.

I don't know if toying with the lineup is the solution. But maybe it is.

Too many times I've seen the drill in practice where a ball is sent to the wing/corner and it is crossed into the box. Part of the problem is that we NEVER even attempt to use that tactic in a game. Another part is those who do the crossing in practice: Flores, Akwarki, etc. All of this is time spent on the field in the name of practice or training but I see it as a waste of time. The percentage of actual goals from crosses would be shameful if it were tracked.

Of course that says nothing about the problems on the defensive side of things. I don't have a solution here either but I'd say starting Brown as a defender says panic button louder than any move yet.

Yes Dispsi is fast and actually hustles during a game, yes i think he would be a better attacking mid. What has Mathis done this year? Scored one goal! Mathis isn't the same player he use to be. Everybody hopes he will but i'm thinking its not going to happen.

A lot of are goals also come from lazy halfback markings, not just the fullbacks. I'm hoping are back line gets things going when Pope comes back.

So here is my lineup. I like players with chutzpah, and my lineup isn't conventional. Please feel free to pick it apart and hurl abuses at my ignorance.

--------Countess (after he has sat out a game so he has the fire in his belly)
Dunseth-----Dante (points for creativity)-------Pope
Kamler----Brown------Williams
Watson----Dipsy-----Kreis

When Pope isn't here Knowles goes in. I also make no distinction about whether they play left or right. Now you know why they didn't hire me as the coach.

Not outrageous, although you might want an 11th player. That said, we did seem to play well against the Metros when we only had ten.

I'm not sure about Brown as center mid, but I get the point--somebody's got to take over in the middle and it hasn't happened yet.

Well, I agree you get points for creativity. And certainly, nothing else has worked. So who knows, this might be the winning combination. ๐Ÿ‘

Where's Stucki? He should be pleased that Cila got a start. And actually, I have to say (I don't want to, but I HAVE to) that he did a good job, for the most part.

Actually, I'd say, other than certain very obvious lapses, that the boys did quite well, last night. They looked like they belonged in MLS. They were IN the game for the whole time! There was never a time that I thought they "gave up" or stopped trying. I was very impressed and gratified at what I saw. They still have a ways to go, but at least they don't need to be embarrassed of their performance last night.
