These Cheetos are a sad bunch. They don't deserve to be in the league. The organization has no class and the individual players have no class. It is apparrently a requirement, to be on the team.

During the game, that female announcer asked the coach something and he just ignored her. Totally classless, so he fits right in. A whole team of jerks!

I finished watching the game this afternoon and was SHOCKED to see how rude Westerhoff was to Heather. Then of course to really see how Romo acted in replay after replay of his dive and to see the picture of Arias kicking Dunny. Can MLS punish a team for just being a bad citizen of the league? I know that things are done differently in MLS than in Mexico or Holland, but if they are playing in MLS they could at least try to adapt a bit. Somebody needs to hit the Chivas organization upside the head with the clue bat. I am actually quite intrigued to see the DC United v. Chivas game on Saturday. I don't think that a Peter Nowak coached team will take to kindly to the type of treatment dished out on Saturday. Will they even try to interview Westerhoff? It should be interesting.

Eric Wynalda wasn't holding anything back though. Heather apparently talked to Jamie and he made a comment about Chivas playing their game or something like that. Rob Stone was a bit confused and didn't know how to interpret that. Eric said, "I DO!" and went on to explain how they will just basically cheap shot you to death. I was shocked to hear him say that. I found it quite telling though as the game progressed.

What a weird weekend.
Chivas USA coming to town drops RSL to the 2nd lowest attendance in its short history, and drops RSL to the 4th out of 6 for weekend attendance.
Shame. We only beat Revs and Quakes (who are now #1 and had the worse attendance, great! 🙁 )
Whats really crazy is perennial bottom dwellers Dallas was #1 with the opening of their new stadium. And that was only at 16,000.

- Is Rusty back at 100%? Does he look good in the practices? Because he certainly didn't look like the Rusty of old in the last game. Seemed reluctant to tackle, got beat pretty badly a few times. Maybe playing a bit cautiously?

- Forwards didn't play that well in the game, I thought. Cila sucked. Hard to tell with Watson this game. He didn't really concentrate on shooting/scoring per se, instead focusing on getting fouled. Considering the score and the time remaining, not that bad of a strategy (RSL did a GREAT job killing off the game in the last 5 mins, I thought). Kreis didn't have all that great of a game either, seemed lost a lot of the time, although he sure did come through big when it counted. Shoots a GREAT PK, that guy.

- Andy was the only real candidate for MOM (MAYBE DJ). I thought his shooting was great. Didn't seem like his misses were that far off, and I thought all but 2 or 3 of his shots were within the flow of the game and good opportunities. I welcome the shooting attitude (especially when the defenders decide not to defend you, for whatever reason)

- Our midfield possession was terrible. Yuck. Trembly sucked this game. Where did Tiger go? I wanna see Tiger-Brown start on the wings, and Trembly sub in.

- TERRIBLE PK call. Brown was on his way down, and did get a slight push, but all I can say is "Ha ha ha ha ha ha hahahahahahaha." Poetic justice.

- I watched this game on TV, wish that the broadcasts would focus on getting some better sound. Sure sounds a lot better when you're there. Westerhoff "interview" was classic, too.

In one of the DesNews articles yesterday, Andy said his wife had been harassing him about not shooting. (I used to have this impression that he'd get the ball and then look around for a while, waiting for it to get taken away... those days are over!) So he was instructed to just shoot and then shoot again... At halftime, coach said keep it up. So he did. And it paid off oh so nicely.

Gotta love Andy! "Moooon river, wider than a miiiiiile...."

Which reminds me... we should think of some new words for an Andy Williams song, to the tune of "Moon River." For those who don't know, there is a famous singer named Andy Williams and "Moon River" is one of his more famous selections.

I vote for cautious. He just seemed like he was playing scared. Scared of reinjuring his hammy. I hope that he will soon get over that fear and become the Rusty of old. I have been happy w/ Broome. Rusty on one side and Broome on the other would be great.

I easily vot for Andy. I have a hard time considering DJ though. DJ had a few good saves, but he looked quite clumsy coming off his line. I was just horrified to watch how badly he misjudged some of those balls when he came of his line. I think that DJ is great on his line and is amazing with multiple quick shots, but he scares me when he needs to come off his line.

Yeah, Trembly seemed quite lost especially after Clint got tossed. In the first half especially he had plenty of space to make a run, but was very hesitant to do so. It was almost comical to watch him start to make a run and then get scared and stop. Maybe he had been instructed to not make those runs. I don't know. It was just odd. His touches just seemed to be horrible as well. He had an off day to say the least. I like Tiger quite a bit as well, but he seems like a bit of a defensive liability to me. That may be part of the reason he didn't come on in a 10 v. 10 game. I would like to see him more as well.

My life officially sucks, just kidding..no seriously...
Ok, so right before Andy Williams scored the 5000th goal of the MLS for the first time in the North Goal.. Not knowing what was going to happen, I had got up to go get a drink from the concessions. I was standing there in line waiting to buy my drink, ocassionally looking up at the TV,when all of a sudden I heard the stadium-specially on the North East side, errupt, I look up at the TV and in big Bold letters it says, 5000th GOAL OF THE MLS!! What the @@%$!!! heee..heee.
Then the TV cameras were shooting right in the Loyalists/RCB section.. and I wasn't even there.. I seriously wanted to cry 🙁
You guys, I personally missed the 5000th MLS GOAL, not to mention the first goal ever in the North Goal. I had to go home and watch it on my tape, not the same though. Sorry, just had to share my sadness. Hopefully I won't miss Kreis' 100 goal 🙂

Please take this commentary with a dose of objectivity.
Seth Trembly is probably a great guy and a decent soccer player.
But he was/is nothing more than that. He has performed above expectations.
To think he could save again by himself after Clint was tossed is not realistic.
