When I see "people" I don't define that as "people on this forum." I was referring to this thread on BigSoccer. It starts around page 10 and continues.

Pretty much we are going to kick the little goatsies trash. Just look at the defensive line! Holy mackeral. Is Pierce really going to be in? Pope? Dunseth? Broome? Anemic offense v. the fabulous four and Mathis' new penchant for "goal of the week" goals.... how can we lose?

I guess by scoring less goals, but that is besides the point. If we get the first goal, automatic win for us. If we get it in the first ten minutes we are going to win by 4. If they score first then it will be a shootout and we either tie or win by one.

My predictions. GO RSL! Go Loyalists! Go fans in general! Go people who are selling discount tickets! Go Montgjules cake (which is fantabulous to the max even when it has fallen in the center just a bit)! Go "free tailgate"! Go everyone!

Don't take this wrong, but why waste Watson's playing time in a reserve match...we could use him more as a sub in the REAL game...

Maybe he needs to work on his finishing? He had two great opportunities in the Dallas game that he didn't put in the back of the net. Those don't come often, but when they do..........

He can play both. The total can be 90 minutes. So he can play this reserve match about 70 minutes I think?

Actually this was a friendly and not an official reserve match so the 90 minute rule does not apply.

He played the first half only so even if it did apply... he would be available for 45 minutes on Saturday.

Amen, not finishing opportunities like that will kill your minutes. The energy Watson brings is great but, in case anyone didn't know, the role of a forward is to put the ball between the two vertical polls and below the horizontal poll into the back of the opponents net.

I think those two missed chances v. Dallas were errors of inexperience. I think in two years he'll be nailing those. Remember, he's superman, but he's still a rookie.

From the looks at practice yesterday, Trembly will be starting instead of Brown. But the rest of that lineup is correct. Except DJ I think is still questionable, they had Nolly take over for a while because of DJ's ankle.
