It may not be original, but at least it would be fun. I guess we could outdo them with multiple cannons.

Don't get me wrong--I think it works for them and it can work for us just the same.

Except that we'd be better at it than they are. 👍

I'm all in favor of the confetti. Having been to quite a few Galaxy games, where they use confetti to celebrate goals, I think it works very well, and adds a lot to the atmosphere, while at the same time not being a problem for the players on the field. Streamers can be a tripping hazard, but for some reason I can't see anyone managing to trip on a piece of confetti.

That actually happened directly in front of me.

Ironic isn't it?

I didn't actually notice the streamer, I only saw Wolff playing to the side, then he played the ball out and pointed to the streamer.

We just made fun of him. Well, we tried anyway. None of us had any voice left at that time.

We spent our voices when Wolff was shouting back at us earlier in the game.

I also had a pretty good view of the Wolff losing the ball due to a streamer incident. That helped me decide not to throw streamers anymore.

Hmm, I didn't see Wolff get into it with you guys earlier in the game. He must have been just chatting it up w/ the fans all night. Did either of you section 37ers see his out of line display to the fans after Jamie's card that happened basically in front of the division between 36 & 37?

why would that make u decide to not throw streamers? Wolfe was by far the most hated player on that team and it was only fate that he should lose the ball in the streamers. If it had been one of our players it would have been a different issue.

I am afraid that the next time it will be one of our players making an important run down the sideline...

Interesting Bill Urban article on this match:

Wizards 4 -- Real Salt Lake 2

Here?s the thing: I don?t want to write off RSL's play-off chances. It would be a wonderful underdog, comeback story if they were to rally and catch the Rapids for fourth place in the West. But losing 4-2, at home, with Colorado dropping points against the Quakes, doesn?t inspire confidence in RSL's play-off prospects.

The Wizards look to be rounding into play-off form like United and the Revs, and the race for play-off positioning in the East should be an exciting, last-day-of-the-season affair. With apologies to Section 8, next Friday?s Fire/Wizards game at Arrowhead Stadium should be a barn burner.

Anyone else noticed the Real Salt Lake home attendances tailing off as the season progresses? I'm sure you did, and I'm certain Dave Checketts has, too.

I would like to apologize for my comments earlier in the thread. I think I was responsible for jinxing this game and giving us the bad refs. Sure, Palomino wasn't on the field, but it sure felt like it.

Good thing he's not on the field though.
