It said it was a good player not the "Face of MLS"
Besides I don't think Landy cakes' girlfriend will let him leave LA.

Tyrone Marshall?

I'd say we don't need more defenders but only Chivas allows more goals.

Buddle was caught DUI during the All-Star weekend and has been suspended from playing until "cleared" by MLS doctors.
Maybe its not him, but he does have some probs at home (who wouldn't in Columbus).

And no way its Dempsey either.

Keep in mind that Coach E was shocked and he has inside info on players.

So I don't think that fans will have a clue who it might be and anything we put up will be conjecture and speculation based on reports in the media.

That said it is likely someone that we will not expect so it is possible that it is someone like Johnson, Ruiz, Dempsey... who knows.
It could be anyone..

What if it's not an MLS player? What if it's David Beckham or Michael Owen?

Whoever it is, I hope it's someone that will get us in the playoffs. But honestly, are we just missing one piece to the puzzle? Do we have all the pieces now, but just can't make them fit? I think we have some great players already but if we don't play as a team it doesn't matter if we bring in Pele, Maradona, Ballack, and Kasey Keller, we'll still loose.

I don't know, Pele or Maradona in their primes may have been enough.

What about Brian Ching or Mark Chung from San Jose? It seems they have two point forwards now after they acquired Chung. One of the two could be expendable now. Now that they're leading the west, maybe they've identified a need they want filled so they can make a run for it all.

This thread of course is all postulation, but it's fun to make guesses to generate discussion.
