Loyalist/RCB team practice Hi all,
I'm a poster on the RCB message board (although I'm not affiliated with them in any other way) and somehow I've become the coach of this Loyalist/RCB team until we get someone better. I'm stoked to see the interest that this team is getting from both supporters groups and I think it will take both groups to make a solid team. Our goal is to start playing in the Utah Adult Soccer League in April '06. But we anticipate having a lot of people who are new to soccer, and others (*cough*me) who are out of shape, so we're going to do some practicing this fall. Hopefully we can get to know each other pretty well and avoid some of RSL's fate. With that in mind, we're going to be having our first practice on Thursday 9/1 at 6 pm at the West Jordan Soccer Complex, field C (I can provide a map if needed). Everyone is invited, regardless of experience/level, even if you're not interested in playing on the league team. Ladies are especially welcome. 🙂 Please post here if you're planning on being there (and if you're bringing others) and if you can bring any equipment like cones, balls, net's, etc. This should be fun - and not too serious - so I hope to see people there.

If everyone is agreeable, I say we add this announcement to our newsletter.

Mr. Cars Mart doesn't work there anymore. I don't know where he's working.
I suggest you call the team "The Loyal Brigade." edit: Or better yet, "Loyal Cavaliers"

We don't need to check to see if Danny Pena, Cle Kooiman or Mamadiou Diallo have sisters.
My wife said that she will play. I will be there with my referee book.......

Nope! Moved onwards and upwards to my own agency called 'The Agency' so if you kow people that need marketing assistance or consultation ... aherm ... I digress ... so it's a sponsor that we need eh? How about Nike? I'll call the Nike rep we go through for sponsorship of 'Dreamkeeper' I am sure they will come through for us for uniforms and some gear. Other than that I will get us some sponsorship from other clients, we'll need to get together a list of what we need. And if you guys do actually know someone who needs any consultation or even someone to represent them on a marketing basis then great think of me, if not no worries. Oops ... digressed again .. let's get a list of things we'll need other than uniforms and boots etc.

Are you serious? Man, you rule. Some answers from I_believe_in_kreis from the RCB board: 1. Games are Saturdays, usually in West Jordan. They are scheduled to not interefere with RSL games, so don't worry about that. 2. Each team has to have (I think) its own net, 2 corner flags, and light and dark unis. How you work out uni costs (each player owns them or the team owns) is up to the team. 3. Players provide their own socks, shorts, and equipment. 4. Sponsorship is a great idea. Most teams have sponsors. 5. You want about 3 subs, so 15 is a good roster size ASSUMING you have people who will come every week. My team carries 15 and our rule is you can't miss more than 3 games a season or you're off the team. Subs are nice. Playing men down is miserable. 6. Cost is $65 per player per season (2 seasons per year), although if you pay for an entire year up front it's less.
