Last year, Melvin's nickname was 'Mr Off-sides.' Despite this, he led the team with 8 goals. At the beginning of this year, he wasn't offside nearly as much; but his goal production was way down. He's been off a little bit more (still much less than last year) and been bangning them in now, so he's certainly still learning, but able to learn relatively quickly. He's only 23, so time is on his side.

Hopefully we'll get a chance to see him against DC. Or at least against Dallas on ESPN2. 🙂

Welcome Mr. Tarley

Sometimes Jordan looks like he's running but he doesn't seem to actually move. Like the cartoon characters whose feet spin around really fast for a few seconds before their bodies get going (although I think the roadrunner does this and is still pretty fast). I'm glad it's not just me who noticed that.
Good luck Tarley! We need another roadrunner on RSL! (Scarlett fits that category, I think).

As I said on BigSoccer, I wish Melvin the best and I hope that he does well at RSL, but I have my doubts. He's certainly got the speed and skills, but he needs to improve his work-rate. If his touch improves at the same rate as it has done the last couple of years, he'll be banging them in no problem.

I'm a bit worried about the Thunder front-line though! With Melvin gone, we've only got two forwards left!

Bingo! They'll borrow him for cup games until the end of the run or win.

Tarley to be with RSL for their trip to DC United this Wednesday.

Brown pulled a quadriceps Tuesday and has not practiced, or played, since. Pierce was on the field Friday, but he is nursing a sore hamstring.
RSL will, however, bring another new face with it in Melvin Tarley, a forward with the Minnesota Thunder of the USL's A-League. Tarley will be on loan to RSL indefinitely.
"I can't say he'll start, but if he looks good in training, he'll get some minutes, for sure,” coach John Ellinger said about Tarley. "That's why we've got him.”

So because he's on loan does that mean we don't have to cut someone? I'm not sure how that works.

We needed to open up a space.

I'm like you. This really starts to get confusing in how all this works.

Ok. So who goes?

Who does everyone think should go? Thinks will go?
