Gatherings to watch RSL away games

Will we all want to get together for RSL away games? For those of us in the UC, a sports grille I often frequent called Bleacher's will have the MLS Direct Kick package which would allow us to watch not only the RSL game but possibly they'd turn a tv on to another game of our choice (depending on what other events are on that evening and if there are other people there to watch other things) It's a good little grille. No alcohol though, for those of you worried about that. The nice thing is that each table has its own speaker so you get to control which tv's sound you hear (an improvement on the SkyBox system) even though it is a much smaller joint and the food isn't quite as good as the SkyBox (cheese fries anyone?)

Oh man, individual speakers at tables? Now I feel like I live in the Stone Age. Thats my dream come true. Tell you what, I am going to move to Utah County just so I can go to Czar's away game parties.

I think I'll try to talk my brother into letting me have an away game party at his house. He's a bachelor with enough money to have a nice house and two big screen TVs, satellite, and lots of comfortable seating. Doesn't that sound even better than speakers at individual tables? 😉 Then I can send out an invitation to the select Utah Countyites and we can watch in style! Okay, we'll see if I can talk my brother into it first.

Hey as long as Jules is providing the food as well, Czar and the rest of the UCites would be better off at Jules's bros place.

as long as responsible adult drinking is involved sign me up!

I do like to drink at sporting events, but I'm not an obnoxious drunk who everyone wants to shut up...at least i hope!

Yeah that would be good Jules. But just so everyone knows, Bleacher's will have those games, so it's always available (but once again Hiddn, they don't serve alkyhol)

There should be some places in Salt Lake that show the games and serve drinks.
I am not a drinker per say but I do occassionally like a drink.

If I get the big screen sorted out before the season I am sure we can do the soccer party (or three) at mine... For the most part I think the SkyBox is the place! Maybe Iggy's on 200 west between 6th & 7th South.

I am in West Jordan now... no longer in the UC...

I really enjoy the SkyBox, just not sure if I want to drive up there for every away game... so Bleacher's or maybe Jules' brother's house are good alternatives for whoever wants to stay in the UC.

Didn't Fiddler's Elbow used to show soccer? I wonder if some of us delinquents bugged them enough, they would oblige us...

Just called Iggy's and Fiddlers Elbow!

Fiddlers Elbow will carry any game that is being televised.
They have ESPN/ESPN2 ESPN Deportivo(?)
Telemundo and FSW... Just ask the Bartender to put the game on if it is not already showing...
They will be carrying every televised RSL Match

Iggy's will show any match that is on ESPN/ESPN2 only
When RSL start playing they say they will carry RSL matches.

Could not get through to skybox...
