Real Salt Lake Reserves To Face The New England Revolution In Park City

Real Salt Lake reserves (2-5-1, 4 pts.) will face the New England Revolution reserves (4-2-1, 13 pts.) on Sunday, September 4 at 10:00 a.m. MT at Trailside Park in Park City, Utah. RSL picked up its second reserve league win of the season in a 2-1 victory over the San Jose Earthquake reserves (4-2-2, 15 pts.) on August 21.

San Jose tested RSL goalkeeper D.J. Countess early in the first half, scoring in the 6th minute when DF Noah Merl played a through ball into the center for FW Julian Nash who slotted a left-footed shot to the right of Countess.

Just 25 minutes later, MF Adolfo Gregorio started a series of one-touch passes, connecting with FW Jamie Watson, who slipped the ball to MF Clint Mathis. Mathis then found FW Dante Washington on a give-and-go as Mathis, the 2002 U.S. World Cup star, rocked a shot past Earthquakes ‘keeper Jon Conway in the 31st minute ending the first half 1-1.

RSL began the second half with a flurry of substitions to add to its push for its second win of the season. Both teams battled for possession and for the game winning goal throughout the second half with the final goal coming in stoppage time. DF Seth Trembly gave a ball to Watson, who dribbled down the left side of the box, juked Conway and then dished the ball to FW Adam Acosta, who tallied what proved to be RSL’s game-winning goal.

Anyone want to give a report on the game?

I was planning to come, but yet again something went wrong with the van and I couldn't go.

The Refs were the ABSOLUTE worst refs we have ever seen! The Revs pulled many cheap shots and didn't get squat called on them and we had yellow cards pulled every other play it seemed. Luckily we tied 2-2. Our little section about rushed the field... worst refs EVER!!! I MEAN EVER!!!!!! They were full of :banpoop: yes, :banpoop:
