That's what I thought. Maybe meaning he is for sure gone next season?

Or are we special because we're not in the playoffs? πŸ˜‰

Yes do you have link for this or any proof?

I believe developmental roster signings can be made at anytime. Waivers/sackings of developmental players can happen at anytime because they work under a different type of contract. But Pierce isn't a developmental player.

I think developmental players can be signed at anytime too, but who is RSL looking at that would fit that bill? Matt Schmidt is too old (you have to be 24 during the season I think). That Mormon kid from England maybe?

In retrospect, I am guessing that Rusty might not have been dropped, but just told he isn't coming back next season.

Makes sense to me. I was just vainly looking for a link to some RSL.com article confirming it.

But it would not surprise me if Rusty's contract isn't "renewed".

Ya, why cut him loose when he just may make from trade bait. He's had an unfortunate string of injuries but that doesn't mean he's not wanted around the league.

Are we talking cloak and dagger stuff here, or just rum and coke?

My guess would be that Rusty may have decided that it is time to pack it in. I don't know though. Maybe it is all one sided and coming from RSL. I am just trying to create rumors here I guess :gossip:

Whatever the circumstances, I enjoyed Rusty's play and will miss him. I hope his future is bright, whatever he does now.
