England [R]

Yippppppppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! 🕺 England qualify for World Cup 2006!!!

I admit it is not exactly in style, well, not even close actually but who cares, we are through! I went to watch the Austria game this morning at the Brittannia Arms in San Jose and had a great laugh, 400 Englishman screaming and shouting the whole game! 👏

Anyway, for those of you who care I thought I'd let you know.

Now we just have to see if we finish as top of the group or runners up .... :dontknow:

That's great news! It would have really been a pity if England wasn't there for Argentina to beat on. I really, really hope these two find each other somewhere in the tournament. Way to go England!

Funny,

I watched your game with some Englishmen in Budapest. Those English. They're everywhere.

Good job on the win.

Why thank you kind sir ...

In all my travels around the world I have found two consistencies:

1. There is always a British or Irish pub in every major city ... even in Bejing.
2. There are always screaming English natives watching football in said pub

Did you hear Ibertsberger after the game? He was all 'Oh yeah, unlucky for Becks but he totally brought me down on the second tackle he deserved a yellow.' Then a reporter showed him the playback of the tackle and he then refusedto comments saying something like '....erm ... nah ... see cus ... erm .. he was like ... and so i was like .. arrggghhh ... but then he was like, but definately he ... well obviously it doesn't look like that now but like ... erm ... next question ... please ... please next question ... PLEASE!' It was actually quite funny to watch him squirm.

Either way we're in. But I did think the booing of Ibertsberger was brilliant, he was subbed so fast after that ... brilliant!

So I watched England/Poland this weekend and Schols, I have to ask...what's up with the giraffe that they substituted late in the match? the 6'7" guy. The guy who looked like he was running on stilts. the preying mantis playing soccer.

Great game though. I love watching Rooney play, the guy is just exciting.

Peter Crouch, plays for Liverpool; Southampton before that. Scored 17 goals in 2004/05

how hard is it to score 17 goals when you're 6'7? aren't most players 5'5"?

😉

Crouch...stand right in front of the keeper when we kick the corner.
<Crouch stands like a light post awaiting the kick> the guy taking the corner, all i have to do is hit crouch, and i'm aaaaaaaaaaalllllllllllll good.

PS: why are there 3 Areliuseseses?

Yeah you'd think he'd be just knocking them in now but I worry that he just won't get the style of play at Liverpool, it's much more organised at Liverpool than Southampton.
