This game was actually fun to watch. I haven't seen the stats, but RSL's shots and shots on goal were MUCH more than the Crapids. We ran into the same problem that we have all year - and especially these last few games: bad luck. We just can't seem to get a break. It's almost as if it's fate for us not to win this season. Some unseen power is keeping us from it. That's the most frustrating thing. The stats say we should have won a game - but we don't. It appeared to me that we controlled the ball much more than the Crapids this game, and that we were the more dangerous team by a LONG shot! And yet, it's 0-1. Sucks. It also really sucked to watch the Crapids players march around the field with the RMC. A dagger to the heart.

Let's look forward to next season...

RSL CRapids
Total Shots: 16 7
Shots on Goal: 7 1

Very good points. I wonder if we had Kreis in if he would have finished one off? We will never know. There is always next year.

So the CRapids finally got themselves a trophy.

Of course, they had outpoint an expansion team to do it.

OK. That's their gimme.

If I had any doubts that this rivalry would take, they're gone now.

Go Quakes. Or Galaxy. Or even FCD. Beat the CRapids.

We have a serious case of brickfoot on this team. Natural strikers don't have this problem. Wannabe strikers ALWAYS have this problem.

I think in any of these matches where shots on goal favored RSL, Kreis, master of the junk goal, would have totally made a difference.

Hopefully, the King of Goals will return next season in full health.

BTW Did Mathis do anything of note?

From the radio broadcast it sounded like Mathis was very active last night. It sounded like Tarley did the stand and wait game on the ball again. I sure hope that someone works with him this during the offseason.

Actually, everyone was just hustling last night. Mathis was extremely active and played some great through balls. We utilized the wings last night, getting it to Tarley who deep in the box near the endline, but then he would squander the opportunity.

We set up some brilliant plays yesterday, just never capitalized.

That is the storyline of the year for RSL. Plenty of chances but not enough finishes.

The part that I find interesting about the Crapids winning the cup last night was the reaction of not only the fans, but the players. You would have thought they had just won the World Cup instead of beating an expansion club in a season series. It was almost as if neither the fans or players had ever had the chance to touch any kind of hardware whatsoever before.

Oh wait...
