Dear EneMa, King of the Krapids, a team suffering from mediocrity and absolutely atrocious play for the greater part of the decade whose only claim to fame is a trophy snatched from the jaws of an expansion team.

During the course of the game, we noted that a bag of confetti that somehow made its way to your head caused you to inexplicably fall down, embarrassing you in front of many thousands of RSL fans and 3-4 Krapid supporters and the Krapid team. While we realize that, at the very least, it is to be expected that the the occasional bag of confetti may be tossed on one's head while invading enemy territory, a weight lifting program that consists of building up the muscles in the legs and back may help prevent this most embarrassing situation from occurring in the future.

Therefore, we from the RCB recommend a weight training regimen that would perhaps allow you to remain standing when a bag of confetti has been dropped on your head.

Certainly a "rocket scientist" would know this, but considering you support the Krapids, you must not be all there, so I thought I'd help the resident ass-clown.

Sincerely,

the Boys from the Brigade

Colorado Rapids - 2005 Rocky Mountain Cup Holders

Playing in fear is no way to win a trophy. If RSL is such a bad team and the CRaps are so much better, why not come out and play us straight up? Afraid of losing? I call BS on you, Joe Cannon, and the rest of your CRappy organization when you say the RMC doesn't matter - if it didn't matter, you would have played an actual soccer game.

And if the RMC doesn't matter to you personally, why are you signing every post with "Colorado Rapids - 2005 Rocky Mountain Cup Holders"? Seems like a lot of trouble to go to for a trophy that, by your own words, "doesn't matter."

BTW, you mean other than Columbus (37 pts), KC (44 pts), Metros (44 pts), and LA (45 pts, loses tiebreaker to Rapids)? Those last 3 may pass us if they get results this weekend, but Columbus can't. So right now the Rapids are actually in the top half of the league (6th in a single table of 12).

The Crapids also played RSL and Chivas 8 times instead of 4. And they only played NE, DC, and Chicago 2 times each instead of 4 times each. The East is a much tougher division than the West and that explains why you have more points than Columbus. It isn't because you are better, it's because you had an easier schedule. If it wasn't for expansion, Colorado would have been the worst team in the league so that makes them the worst non-expansion team.

Face it, the Crapids suck! Always have and always will. You play boring soccer, have a terrible FO, and your fans (all three or four of them) suck. You have cheerleaders and a mascot that looks like he got a swirly in an airplane toilet. The greatest accomplishment in the team's 10 year history is beating an expansion team in a season series. Yeah, the Crapids have a lot to be proud of, if pathetic is something to cheer over. Congratulations on being the most pathetic team in MLS history.

It's no wonder the RMC means so much to you and your players. And that truly does say everything that is necessary about the Crapids.

You must have missed my post 2 weeks ago where I pointed out that the Rapids had done better against the East than the Crew (1.4 vs. .95 pts/game), and vice versa (1.4 vs. 1.6 pts/game) even after updating for two more weeks of play. If both teams played 10 games against each conference the way they've played against them all year, the Rapids would finish 2 points ahead, 28 to 26. So even removing the advantage of the expansion clubs, the Rapids are still better than Columbus. And the expansion excuse doesn't explain how we are currently better than LA either, who played the exact schedule we did. Of course, they do have one game remaining, all they have to do is get points off the best team in the league...

I find it comical that Jason gets defensive or even posts on our boards.
He is only a "leader" of our most hated rivals...

What do you expect?

Your nick might as well be Troll.

The problem with simply doing things that way is that it doesn't really take into account the fact that you only played them twice instead of four times. It also doesn't take into account the fact that if you had been in the same division as them, they would have taken you more seriously because you would have been competing with them directly for playoff positioning. For the Rev, a game against the Crapids is only worth 3 points, but a game against the Crew is worth 6 points against a conference foe.

If you go to Sagarin's ratings on USAToday, you will see that the Crapids had the fourth easiest schedule in the league and that the Crew had the second hardest. Yet they only managed to end the season a few points ahead of them. How do you like them statistics, Mr. Rocket Science?

You can't just massage the statistics like you have done without taking other factors into consideration. It doesn't tell the whole story, but then I understand why you don't want the whole story told.

I'll borrow a quote Heretic uses, "Statistics are just like mini-skirts, they give you good ideas but hide the most important thing."
-- Ebbe Skovdahl

And in this case, the most important thing is that the Crapids suck. Always have, always will. That's the one fact even a "rocket science" can't ignore.

RSL did it. And on the road no less. Don't count your chickens before they are hatched.
