year end awards

The RSL year-end awards are determined by the coaching staff. Except for the obvious scoring leader.

Other than Player of the Year what other award(s) would you like to see from The Loyalists?

Best sub
Best defender
Best supporting player

I'm sure I'll think of some more.

Ok. Thanks in advance for the suggestions but I don't want a U-9 concept where everyone get something. In fact the POY maybe enough for me but I wanted to solicite some other opinions. Then we'll have to send stuff to Denver for the engraving.

I think hockey does stuff like that. I'm not suggesting that everyone on the team get an award, just those that deserve the recognition.

I agree, that POY would be enough. Or maybe add Rookie of the Year or something. But you're right, if everyone gets an award (or most everyone) there's no point.

What's hockey?
Something they do in Colorado, Florida, and New York where soccer has a hard time succeeding?

You guys have some pretty die hard fans, maybe you should reward your most die hard fan whether Loyalist or RCB or whatever. We really have excellent fans and so it might be nice to recognise that. I can think of a couple that I don't recall ever missing a game all season, some that don't live here but always watch the game, maybe you do a best home fan and best away fan?

Urrrrrrr....
If we had Checketts, we wouldn't have any problems supporting MLS either.
*grumble*grumble*

Otherwise, I think Fan of the Year might be to complicated for all the supporters.

I certainly think PoY is needed with perhaps Rookie of the Year a close 2nd.

What about a "Fan Favorite" award? This would likely need some sort of structured vote on a website somewhere, and probably wouldn't be logistically possible until next season.
