End of the year banquet

Are you guys planning on having a banquet at the end of the year? We had one for the Thunder and I got an email and a call from the RSL F.O. indicating that they would like some input from me on how it went and how to go about having one for RSL.

They seemed to think that they would like to pass it off to the Supporters Section(s) which I think is actually a great idea. What do you all think?

Similar ideas have been brought up before, so I'm in. I think it's a great idea.

Okay, I admit I haven't made it there, but would Iggy's back room be big enough to hold a supporters event? (Aero, get your mind away from THOSE supporters..) They have been great to the Loyalists all year. You can get a drink there, but you can also bring your kids.

If this is a RSL FO event (as indicated by the sentance the "FO was asking about it") wouldn't this go for all groups?

My understanding from the F.O. worker with whom I spoke was that it would be all supporters he said simply "our supporters group" (using the singular case, though I am sure they wouldn't want to exclude anyone.)

I would imagine that when they get what they want worked out on their end they will approach each group about it.

I only mention that the Loyalist MOTM Award because, if you look at Zathras's link to what happened at the Thunder Supporters Banquet, they gave out awards for such things as Rookie of the Year and such.

I guess if all the Supporters could agree, that would take care of itself.

In Minnesota, we don't have any Official Supporters Groups; only one (VERY) unofficial one in the Dark Clouds who run the website. We ran polls on the website for Newcomer of the Year and Player of the Year on BlueSkySoccer.com and there really wasn't any controversy about that. I assume that the club could run an impartial poll for you guys.

Of course, you could give out multiple awards to the same or different players from each group.
