I assume that the club could run an impartial poll for you guys.

Of course, you could give out multiple awards to the same or different players from each group.

Apart from the score I have good memories of the Thunder. Calling the game was so funny, we actually called the game from outside on the side of the scoring booth, (it simply wasn't going to work in that heat in a place with no ventilation or air) and we were right next to the loudest fans I have heard outside of RSL and Kansas. But without question they were the funniest, they had the best chants I have ever heard, I was laughing so hard (not as hard as watching The Office, but still hard) I could barely focus on the game - which with hindsight wasn't a bad thing.

Anyway, I just had a memory flashback, thanks for the laugh.

Thanks for the kind words, Scholesy. 🙂

We have had members of the opposing teams crack up on the bench and coaches have tried to hide their laughter this season. We love to have fun at our games and the way our season has gone it's been necessary. (USOC run excluded.)

RSL didn't get the Dirty Stinkie Hippies chant, though, so you missed one of the best of the year:

Portland Timbers
Portland Timbers
What's that smell?
What's that smell?
Dirty Stinkie Hippies
Dirty Stinkie Hippies
in your town
in your town

(adaptable for nearly any team -tune frere jacqua)

Or just substitute "Alexi Lalas." Can't wait for the first Metrostars game next year, now.

After losing 21 games this year the team (players) is not interested in a end of the year shindig. We do have a rather firm "probably" for coming years.

I'm not sure you need players for this type of event. I would think it might actualyl answer a lot of questions about ROI with some players if you know what I mean. If you choose to honour them and they can't be arsed to show up then hey you'll know who to focus your support on for next year.

I think its a good idea whether or not any players come or not. And as far as them not wanting to come...I would have to say I bet I know a few who would be happy to show up! And to tell you the truth...sure its more fun if they win, but Im just happy watching them play. I say lets do it anyways. What can I do to help???

win or lose...I'm still their number one fan!

I am all for having an end of the year shindig...and I have a really good feeling in my heart that we are going to win tomorrow!!! In fact...I think we should ahve a shin dig atleast once a month during the off season just to keep all of our hearts happy. What can I do to help?

GO REAL!
